My pal Reuben Cox of the world-famous
Old Style Guitar Shop gave me a nice piece of highly-figured quartersawn maple from the collection of RC Allen a few years ago - just barely big enough for two necks. Around the same time, I bought from Allied Lutherie a couple slabs of beautiful, lightweight 1-pc ash that once belonged to the late, great Taku Sakashta. I've been sitting on both for a while and finally decided to put them together. Both guitars have Lollar Special pickups in the bridge. This one has a Lollar 1950's-wind P90 in tne neck and lacquered bakelite pickguard.
